Dental bleaching is a fast and easy way to whiten teeth, producing a brighter smile. Bleaching can correct many discolorations that may be the result of using tobacco products, drinking red wine, tea, or coffee, or aging. Because at Legacy Dental we use the most up-to-date technology, we can provide a safe way to get you to a brighter, brilliant smile. Dental bleaching may be an option for most of our patients; however, some may be better candidates for this process. We even offer a shade assessment of your teeth. Dr. Brasher & Dr. Josh can determine if our teeth whitening process is a good match for you.

Key benefits:

  • • Appropriate for all age clients
  • • Brings a smile back to life by restoring brightness
  • • Lasts a long time
  • • Rectifies stains: mottled, yellow, and brown

Is Tooth Whitening Safe?
If the procedure is done under the supervision of a dentist, teeth whitening has been proven safe by clinical studies and extensive research. Many even believe it to be the most safe cosmetic procedure currently performed in offices. Although there is no evidence that bleaching is unsafe during pregnancy or while nursing, we do not perform this procedure during those times, in the interest of caution.

How long do the results last?
Your results will last longer if you can restrict those habits that stain teeth, such as smoking, dipping, drinking grape juice, coffee, tea, and red wine. You will have to choose to optimize the effects of the procedure by limiting these. That way your brilliant, improved smile will last longer. However, if it does fade, you can always elect to have another procedure done to keep up the ‘wow’ factor that whitening produces.
